Club Mission - "Doin' Good in the Neighborhood"
The Manasota Mopar Club is a registered, not-for-profit corporation in the State of Florida .
This step has been taken to ensure the utmost enjoyment of our hobby and to contribute to those less fortunate than ourselves. Our club focuses on the children and the elderly of our community. This year we will be raising money for the "Smart Program" and bring awareness to the public about this awesome program that gives children and adults who are mentally and physically challenged another view of the world outside of their wheel chair. Volunteers help them interact with the horses giving them the freedom of mobility and self pride.To see a child who could only crawl, mount a horse and sit up tall with a big smile is very uplifting as they ride through the pastures.. Our funds we raise will go towards the "Rider Scholarship". A donation of $800.00 per year offsets the cost of the lessons and assists in the program with purchasing special equipment for the student that normally would not be provided by the program. Our goal is to sponsor a student for two years and help out with such an awarding program. Throughout the year we will also be collecting various items for the "Solve Maternity Homes", including but not limited to, baby clothes, diapers, wipes, Dreft clothes detergent, maternity clothes, flip flops, canned and boxed foods and so much more. We are geared to help the smaller organizations in our community. While we are always busy with our mission we still have plenty of time to enjoy the camaraderie of other mopar enthusiasts and have fun. Either with car cruises, picnics, car shows, poker runs and so much more. We also have a quarterly newsletter and our members receive local business discounts from participating companies.
